I briefly alluded to Patrice Baumel in a previous post really I should have gone into far more depth. His ‘Vapour’ album from 2010 is absolutely superb, deep brooding tech house. His soundcloud includes a joy of re-edits and mash ups. It would seem odd for a serious techno head to be doing such things but it seems he can squeeze just about about anything into his sets. I’m not gonna lie I don’t really know anything about the artist, remixer or label but I know what I like and this ticking all the Sunday afternoon boxes for me right now. I reckon it would work better at dusk. Possibly somewhere warm. It really reminds of GummiHz superb ‘Sleepless Nights’ album from a few years ago, which is well worth checking out if deep is your thing.

I found this while looking for some Smagghe edits I had missed. I got the Patrice Baumel edit of this shortly beforehand, however it’s nowhere near as good. However his Depeche Mode edit is pretty spot on though.
